WHAT IS THE SMALL SOCIETY LAB?

The Small Society Lab is an annual event hosted at DCA and organised in partnership with the University of Dundee. Throughout June the SSL will bring together artists, designers, scientists, community activists and members of the great Dundonian public to explore ideas that exist on the boundaries of art, science and community.

This year we will focus on a series of one-day events, each exploring a specific theme. Each day will open at 12:30 with a series of engaging and incisive presentations by 3 or 4 of our informed Lab Leaders, who'll then go on to lead a hands-on workshop related to the current theme. The day will be rounded off with a social event, usually on the private patio of the Visual Research Centre (weather permitting).
